Day 1
Arrival at Kilimanjaro and transfer to Arusha

The first destination on the Kudu Safari is your arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, one of Africa’s best-known locations in the world, where you will be greeted by Safari Avventura staff who will immediately show you the Tanzanian warmth with a festive welcome. After a short briefing and light refreshments of local specialties, you can choose to transfer to your lodge or remain in the company of our staff, who will take you on a tour of the city of Arusha, to get you into the heart of the real Africa.

Dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge, a truly romantic and picturesque location from which you will hope to never leave.

Day 2
Nature Walk in Arusha Park

A beautiful day of safari awaits us after breakfast in the Arusha National Park, considered one of the most beautiful wildlife shelters in the country, and very varied in landscape. The entire park is full of life forms. You can see buffalo herds (the most common species in the park), zebras, giraffes, and it is not uncommon to see warthogs, water antelopes, dik-diks and reduncas. The area also has other mammals that are difficult to get close to, such as aardvarks, bushpigs and crested porcupines. The low screeching call of the silver cheeked hornbill regularly penetrates silence, just like the rhythmic harsh cry of the black and white colobus, an endangered primate.
Accompanied by a ranger, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the pristine nature of the park by taking a walk during which numerous animals can be seen, such as giraffes, buffaloes and so on. All of these in maximum safety, of course.

We will leave for the park early in the morning and return to the lodge by 18:00.
Packed lunch will be served at the park.
Dinner and overnight accommodation at the lodge.

Day 3
Tarangire Park

After breakfast, we head into Tarangire National Park for a fascinating game drive. Here the undulating sylvan savannah, dotted with majestic baobab trees, many over 2,000 years old, is home to the largest elephant population in northern Tanzania. And when the dust blows over the dry plains, animal observation is absolutely astounding. In the late dry season, in fact, the park is home to the highest density of wildlife on the entire continent.

We will leave for the park early in the morning and return to the lodge by 18:00.
Packed lunch will be served at the park.
Dinner and overnight accommodation at the lodge.

Visita Parco del Tarangire
Day 4
Lake Eyasi

We will visit Lake Eyasi, south-east of the Ngorongoro highlands, after breakfast. The surrounding region is home to a very interesting group of people: the Hadzabe-bushmen, last heirs of a civilization that knows nothing about agriculture, cattle breeding, ceramics and metallurgy. They live by hunting with bow and arrows and from the collection of berries and spontaneous fruits. They are the last heirs of the homines-sapientes who left their mark here, along the Rift Valley, some 200,000 years ago. Their way of life has remained unchanged for millennia, living in small wandering groups of about twenty individuals. Meeting them is a very interesting experience. You can organize an early-morning hunting trip with them and experience an ancient way of life for a few hours. This is a real experience, not faked or staged for touristic purposes. The region is also home to the Datogas, polygamous breeders from the Horn of Africa, who came to the region with their herds in search of pastures. We will then visit a village and a blacksmith’s workshop that produces everyday objects using ancient techniques; jewellery and arrowheads for the nearby Hadzabe, who pay for them with animal skins and wild honey. A very small proportion of safari travellers in Tanzania visit this region, but those who do return very thrilled.

We will leave for the park early in the morning and return to the lodge by 18:00.
Packed lunch will be served at the park.
Dinner and overnight accommodation at the lodge.

Visita Lago Eyasi
Day 5
Visit to the enchanting Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, we will head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, one of the world’s most famous safari sites, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1978 and an International Biosphere Reserve in 1981. The Ngorongoro Crater, (the permit for game drives within the Crater is valid for a maximum of 6 hours) the area of greatest interest, is located 2,200 meters above sea level and is the largest unbroken caldera in existence in the world and one of the natural wonders of Africa with the presence of about 30.000 large mammals resident year-round, such as buffalo, lions, elephants, cheetahs and rhinos, and many varieties of birds, such as flamingos, eagles, buzzards, ostriches and hawks. The center of the crater is occupied by Lake Magadi, which has shallow water and tends almost to dry up during the dry season, and is the best spot to observe flocks of flamingos and crowned cranes, but also many herbivores, especially numerous wildebeests and zebras, which water here, attracting the presence of lions and hyenas.

We leave for the park early in the morning and then move to the Serengeti in the afternoon.
Packed lunch will be served at the park.
Dinner and overnight accommodation at the lodge or Campo Tendato.

Cratere Ngorongoro
Day 6
Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, we visit Serengeti National Park, the extraordinary place where legend meets reality, represents the oldest and largest park in Tanzania, covering an area of 14,763 km2, so much so that the name, of Maasai origin, Siringet, means “Boundless Plain.” Endless plains, the great migration of herbivores, especially wildebeest and zebra, herds of lions and other predators such as hyenas, cheetahs, leopards, jackals, crocodiles… await you.

We leave for the park early in the morning and return by 18:00.
Packed lunch will be served at the park.
Dinner and overnight accommodation at the tented camp.

Day 7
Experiencing the Fauna of the Serengeti

After breakfast, we will continue our discovery of the extraordinary Serengeti National Park. The boundless grasslands are occasionally interrupted by bizarre granite formations, the kopjes, between whose crevices small pools of rainwater often form, attracting many small animals as well as large predators such as lions that like to lie on them or hide in them while waiting for possible prey to pass by. Along the rivers, many circuits start where crocodiles, hippos and many other animals can be spotted coming to water, but also leopards that often bask in the branches of the umbrella acacias here.

Packed lunch will be served at the park.
We move to Lake Natron in the evening.
Dinner and overnight accommodation at the lodge.

Day 8
Lake Natron

Lake Natron, with its nearby Ol Doinyo Lengai volcano ‘Mountain of God’, sacred to the Masai, is a pristine, rugged and particularly fascinating place, allowing for excursions off the beaten track, which can be visited from late June to early January.
It is a 60 km long alkaline lake, located north-east of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, characterized by hues ranging from white to pink and brown, depending on the time of year. Its size, as well as its colour, vary a lot throughout the year, and its waters withdraw so much during the dry season that they leave large areas of land covered with a thick salt crust exposed. The excessive salinity of the lake makes it impossible for most animal species to thrive, with the exception of pink flamingos, which nest and live in huge flocks here. The tour will be on foot, beginning from the lake. This will be followed by a hike to the enchanting waterfalls along a stretch of fresh and pristine river, with the possibility of taking a pleasant swim under the waterfalls (it is recommended to wear shoes and swimsuits).

We leave for the park early in the morning and return to the lodge by 18:00.
Packed lunch will be served at the park.
We will move to Mtowambu in the afternoon.
Dinner and overnight accommodation at the lodge.

Visita Lago Natron
Day 9
Lake Manyara

After breakfast, the safari continues with a tour of Lake Manyara National Park, one of Tanzania’s parks with the highest biodiversity. In an area of only 330 square kilometers, 230 of which are occupied by the lake, five different ecosystems can be encountered. The park is inhabited by more than 380 types of birds and a large number of animal species including elephants, buffalo, zebras, giraffes, leopards, lions, baboons, hippos, antelopes, warthogs and many others.

We leave for the park early in the morning and return by 18:00. 18:00. Packed lunch will be served at the park.
We return to Arusha in the evening.
Dinner and overnight accommodation at the lodge.

Manyara Lake
Day 10
The wonders of Kilimanjaro Park

Kilimanjaro National Park was founded in 1997 and declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987.
Its reputation is obviously due to the spectacular Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa, as well as being one of the highest volcanoes in the world, with the top covered by a perennial glacier.
The main entrance to the park is the Marangu Gate, which is located at an altitude of 1870m. This is the lowest part of the plateau, which can be reached by jeep, and offers beautiful views. We will then reach the “Roof of Africa”, where there is a lush rainforest dominated by tall trees, harbouring various animals such as buffaloes, baboons, guenons, leopards and antelopes, and numerous birds, including abbot’s starlings, which are very rare outside this area. You can also visit the nearby and picturesque lake Chala, which stands in a caldera, on the eastern border of Mount Kilimanjaro, with shades ranging from turquoise to emerald green depending on the season.

We will leave for the park early in the morning and return to the lodge by 18:00.
Packed lunch will be served at the park.
Dinner and overnight accommodation at the lodge.
