Special Great Migration
The Great Migration is the most impressive and fascinating natural spectacle on the planet. Every year, about a million wildebeest followed by hundreds of thousands of zebras and herds of hungry predators make an epic journey of about 800 kilometers, migrating from the southern Serengeti to the Masai Mara in Kenya and back, following the natural rain cycle.
This extraordinary phenomenon represents a primordial dance between life and death, where survival and animal instinct are manifested in all their rawness and beauty. The most spectacular moment occurs between June and August, when herds reach the northern Serengeti and must cross the raging Mara River, where huge Nile crocodiles wait in ambush, creating scenes of extraordinary intensity.
December and April instead see the “birthing season” at Ndutu, where thousands of wildebeest and zebra cubs are born at the same time, offering a spectacle of lush life. To witness the Great Migration is to witness one of the last great natural manifestations of African wildlife, a transformative experience that remains etched in the heart forever, leaving the visitor acutely aware of the wonder and fragility of the natural world.
