Days
An exciting itinerary to experience the beauty of the real Africa through a safari in the Northern Parks in Tanzania and a tour of the South Western Parks in Uganda.
With Safari Adventure you will be immersed in the African wilderness, see wild animals up close and take photos of the stunning vistas of Tanzania and Uganda.
A tour where you will see savannah wildlife, primates and ancient tribes up close, experience the thrill of jeep and water safaris, and experience nature to the fullest with forest treks.
So are you ready to go?
Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro (or Arusha) Airport, our staff will welcome you and take you to your lodge in Arusha.
Should you have the time, energy and desire, you can take a tour of the city in the company of a guide. Alternatively, you can unwind at the hotel.
Dinner and overnight stay at the Planet Lodge (or similar category).

After breakfast, you will visit Tarangire National Park.
Here, the swaying sylvan savannah, dotted with majestic baobabs, many of which are over 2,000 years old, is home to the largest elephant population in northern Tanzania.
During the late dry season, the park is home to the highest density of wildlife on the entire continent, and animal observation is absolutely amazing.

You will enter inside the Ngorongoro Crater, which is 2,200 meters above sea level and is the largest uninterrupted caldera in existence in the world and one of the natural wonders of Africa with the presence of some 30,000 large mammals resident year-round, such as buffalo, lions, elephants, cheetahs and rhinos, and many varieties of birds, such as flamingos, eagles, buzzards, ostriches and hawks.

After breakfast, you will visit Serengeti National Park, the extraordinary place where legend meets reality, represents the oldest and largest park in Tanzania, covering an area of 14,763 square kilometers, so much so that the name, of Maasai origin, Siringet, means “Boundless Plain.”

The endless grasslands are occasionally interrupted by bizarre granite formations, the kopjes, where large predators such as lions like to lie down or hide waiting for possible prey to pass by.
You can see crocodiles, hippos and many other water animals along the rivers, including leopards that often bask in the branches of the umbrella acacias present here.
Depart for the park early in the morning. Lunch in equipped area in the park.

(Serengeti – Karatu transfer: about 3 hours and 30 minutes, on dirt track and road)
Dinner and overnight stay at Marera Valley Lodge (or similar category).

After breakfast, you will visit Lake Eyasi, which lies southeast of the Ngorongoro Highlands.
The surrounding region is home to a human group of extreme interest: they are the Hadzabe bushmen, the last heirs of a civilization unfamiliar with agriculture, livestock raising, pottery and metallurgy, the homines sapientes, who took their first steps some 200,000 years ago right here along the Rift Valley.
They live by hunting with bow and arrows and from the collection of berries and spontaneous fruits.
Their lifestyle has remained unchanged for millennia; they live in small wandering groups of about 20 individuals. Meeting them is definitely an interesting experience.
It is possible to organize an early morning hunting trip with them and experience an archaic way of life for a few hours.
It is a real experience, not a phony or a staged one for tourism purposes.
Also living in the region are the Datoga, polygamous herders originally from the Horn of Africa who came to this region following herds in search of pasture.
You will visit the village and blacksmith’s workshop, which uses ancient techniques to produce everyday objects, jewelry and arrowheads for the nearby Hadzabe, who repay him with animal skins and wild honey.
A very small proportion of travelers on safari in Tanzania visit this region, but those who do come back enthusiastic.
Depart for the park early in the morning.
Characteristic lunch at Mto wa mbu.
In the afternoon, opportunity to take a walk to Mto Wa mbu, accompanied by the guide, or a bicycle ride through the village and plantations (extra charge).
Transfer to Arusha.
Dinner and overnight stay at Ilboru Safari Lodge (or similar category).

Early in the morning, after saying goodbye to Tanzania and all its beauty, we will accompany you to the airport, where, via an internal flight, you will reach Uganda to continue this exciting discovery of Africa.
FLIGHT KILIMANJARO – ENTEBBE (about 2 hours)
Upon arrival at Entebbe Airport, our staff will welcome you to take you to Queen Elizabeth National Park, a site straddling the equator in western Uganda.
Packed lunch during the transfer and photo safari in the park until arrival at the lodge.
This park, established in 1954, is built around the Kazinga Canal that joins Lakes George and Edward and is named after Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom.
The park is characterized by diverse habitats: savanna, swamps, rainforest, the lake basins of Lake Edward and Kazinga Channel, and volcanic craters, some of which form volcanic lakes such as Katwe.
A huge number of animals live here, about 95 species of mammals, including: hippos, Nile crocodiles, lions, elephants, leopards, buffaloes and several species of primates. We also find an extraordinary concentration of birds, about 600 species, including pink flamingos in the lake areas.
In the southern part of the park called “Ishasha” we can also see lions in the trees, where they spend their days between hunts.
Dinner and overnight stay at the Bush Lodge within the Queen Elizabeth N.P. (or similar category).

After breakfast, we will continue our discovery of this amazing park, with some very fascinating activities.
In the morning, accompanied by a ranger, we will make a trek in search of chimpanzees in the Kyambura Gorge, a rift where the river of the same name flows and then flows into the Kazinga Channel. Here is a forest with rich and varied vegetation, different from the others we will visit. The experience is exciting and very atmospheric, immersed in African nature it is possible to see chimpanzees, but also other animals such as hippos, colobus and different types of birds.
Packed lunch.
After lunch we will take a water safari, a small boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, a place rich in wildlife. We will be able to observe in safety and relaxation many animals that live or come to water here, such as hippos, buffalo herds, crocodiles, elephants, antelopes and a wide variety of birds.
This activity also turns out to be really very interesting and fascinating.
Dinner and overnight stay at the Bush Lodge within the Queen Elizabeth N.P. (or similar category).

After breakfast, we head to the southern part of the park, passing through Maramagambo Forest.
We visit the Ishasha area in search of the wildlife that resides here and in particular the “climbing lions,” lions that have a special habit of climbing fig trees, trees that branch a few meters high, above which they like to lie for hours. You can observe this particular characteristic of lions only in this area or in Lake Manyara National Park in Tanzania.
Packed lunch will be served at the park.
Next, we continue our transfer to Ruhja in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, where an overnight stay is planned.
Dinner and overnight stay at Broadbill Forest Camp Ruhija within Bwindi N.P. (or similar category).

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park has extraordinary biodiversity, with the presence of important populations of endangered species, particularly Mountain Gorillas (about half of the world’s population of this species resides here), and was therefore declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994.
Its territory, occupied mostly by tropical forest and jungle, is largely accessible only on foot.
After a sunrise breakfast and a short briefing with the rangers, in groups of up to 8 people we will begin a fairly challenging trek into the forest in search of mountain gorillas. The trek always varies depending on the positioning of the gorilla families, but as a rule, from the first sighting, you will be with these amazing animals for an hour. Meeting the gorillas up close and observing them in their natural habitat is an indescribable and unforgettable thrill and totally repays the efforts made to reach them (at least two liters of water, hiking shoes and a k-way must be carried during the trek).
Around 1 p.m. we will return from the trek. Packed lunch.
Next, transfer to the small town of Kisoro, located near the park that we will visit the following day.
Dinner and overnight stay at Mucha Hotel in Kisoro (or similar category).

After breakfast at dawn, we move to Mgahinga National Park.
This park is located in the southwestern part of Uganda, bordering Volcanoes National Park (Rwanda) and Virunga Park (DRC). It features breathtaking views of the peaks of Volcanoes National Park. The park area includes three of the eight Volcanoes in the Virunga range: the Muhavura, Sabinyo and Gahinga, from which the park takes its name.
We will take a nice 3/4-hour trek at an altitude of about 2,500 meters to discover the golden monkeys.
These beautiful, brightly colored primates are little known and endemic to the area, living in bamboo trees and considered endangered.
Two gorilla families are also present in this park and can be observed.
After the trek, pack lunch and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, a large swimming lake characterized by the presence of 29 islands.
Dinner and overnight stay at Lake Bunyonyi Eco Resort Kabale (or similar category).

After breakfast, we will return to Entebbe, to leave this country that has given us multiple emotions, with landscapes and experiences that will remain etched within us.
Flight to be scheduled after h. 5:00 p.m. or the following day (in case an additional night needs to be added).
(Meals not included)
